David Beckham has millions of dollars to spend on lavish dinners at high-end restaurants, so it comes as a bit of a surprise that the world-renowned soccer star is endorsing a new product for one of this year’s struggling fast food chains.
As many of you know, Burger King has had a less-than-impressive year. It was announced late last month that the restaurant lost it’s second place position on the list of Best Burger Chains in the US to Wendy’s and has been trying hard to regain its strength in the market by introducing new, healthier menu items. One of the items is the heart-healthy smoothie and it’s being backed by David Beckham.
The LA Galaxy forward is appearing in a new commercial for the burger brand where he uses his British charm to flirt with the cashier while ordering one of the new strawberry banana smoothies.
Burger King is pulling out all the stops to regain their number two position on the coveted list. In addition to the new fruit smoothie, they’ve also added 2 new breakfast burritos, a selection of snack wraps and an array of garden fresh salads to their menu.
