With the excitement of last weeks White House episode, something big had to happen to top that experience and it didn’t disappoint. These next few weeks have the opportunity for one of the sent home contestants to be added back into the game. The current contestants found out that this tradition was going to take place and staged a revolt.
The opening scene of this week had all the competitors taking off their microphones and threatening to quit. They seemed genuinely upset at the idea that a person could have been sent home fourteen weeks ago only to be invited back into the competition in the coming weeks. In the end, lawyers were involved and showed the contestants their signed contracts where it stated that it was always going to be a possibility. Mark chose to cancel his contract and go home. He was only 11 lbs. from his goal. Buddy chose to go home as well. Jeremy, Conda, and Kim stayed.
This week’s “excuse” was a lack of motivation. At the end of the week, the player with the highest percentage of body fat lost will win a new 2013 Ford Escape. However, the news was not all good, because there would still be a red line and the person who fell below it would automatically be out. With only three in the competition at this point, the risks were high. Bob had Conda do her workout by strapping a harness to her and making her pull the car.
Conda weighed in at 205 lbs. last week, and was 195 this week, for a loss of 10 lbs. Her percentage was 4.88%. Pulling that car really worked.
Kim weighed in at 162 lbs. last week, and was 147 this week, for a loss of an amazing 15 lbs! At this stage in the game, it is almost unheard of to lose such an amount. Her percentage was 9.26%!
Jeremy weighed in at 249 lbs. last week, and was 239 this week, for a loss of 10 lbs. His percentage was an unfortunate 4.02%. While still excellent, it was just not enough to stay. Conda was emotional letting her brother go.
As Kim had the highest percentage of weight loss, she won the Ford Escape.
Just as Jeremy was eliminated, the previously eliminated 14 were brought in. He will have his chance to return and the next episode promises to be very exciting.
