So, if you are the type of person who opens a bag of chips and cannot find the will power to put the bag down after your fair share, you will want to avoid this forthcoming article and the potato chips that it reviews.

Sweet potato is one of the hottest food trends these days, finding itself on many restaurant menus and popping up now as a popular snack alternative from the regular plain potato chip. Recently, we came across the most delicious potato chip we have tasted in years, created by the folks at Covered Bridge in New Brunswick, Canada. The company produces a line of kettle-style potato chips sold as “Covered Bridge Old Fashioned Kettle Style Potato Chips” and can found at many specialty grocers in Canada.

This sweet potato chip was absolutely delicious. The kettle-cooked chips held a really great crunch without being overly greasy, which is really tough to pull off the way Covered Bridge has with this product. The sweet potato flavour comes a little bit after the initial crunch of the chip yet and is extremely deep, giving off the impression that these chips were cooked only minutes ago. A hint of sea salt is used to finish these chips off and is used to perfection, which is a nice departure from feeling like your mouth is burning from salt after eating a handful of chips.

If these potato chips were to be rated on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give them a straight 10 across the board. Really, you have to try these chips!

We have yet to try these chips with a dip yet, but a creamy Southwest or chiptole dip would work well, just as they do with sweet potato fries.

More information about Covered Bridge Potato Chips can be found at their official website at http://www.coveredbridgechips.com/. They offer a lot of information about their potato chips, along with an online store where you can buy any of their delicious products from the comfort of your home. We really encourage you to try these sweet potato chips – they are unlike anything we have tasted before!
