Last week on Worst Cooks in America Season 3, one of the most popular contestants, Erica Weidner, was sent packing. Her witty banter with Chef Bobby Flay was really enjoyable to watch but, alas, the show must go on. Here’s where we stood at the beginning of the episode:

The Skill Drill
This episode (episode 4) had the cooks up in the middle of the night for their skills test. The challenge was to make classic late night snack food but in a gourmet way. Anne had her team make their own fully loaded fries. Bobby had his team make their own variations of classic nachos.
Tiffany went with a sweet idea for her nachos but paired mozzarella with blueberries, which Bobby didn’t appreciate, to say the least.
The Chefs were very unhappy with the general results of the challenge and felt that the cooks were regressing and using poor choices. The winner for Bobby’s blue team was Benjamin, and Tiffany was the loser. The winner for Anne’s red team was Dorothy, and Sean was the loser.
The Main Dish Challenge
This elimination challenge was all about date night food. The idea was to teach the cooks that they do not have to eat out for special occasions. The cooks had to prepare two plates, as they would be going on “dates” with their Chef leaders. They had to replicate the main proteins but had to create their own unique side dishes. Bobby had his team cook squab, and Anne had her team cook baby chicken.
The cooks had to butcher their birds and take out the backbones. Tiffany had an exceptionally difficult time with this but managed to make it through. Date night came along, which was amusing to watch, particularly Vinnie who joked that Bobby was not his type.
Results
The winner for Chef Anne Burrell’s red team was David, and Sean was eliminated. David is definitely stepping up in the competition – especially after having been switched by Bobby in the previous episode.
The winner for Chef Bobby Flay’s blue team was Vinnie, and unfortunately Sarina was eliminated.
