Winn-Dixie has released a class II recall of their skillet dinners.  A class II Recall is issued for situations where a product can cause temporary health consequences. Serious health affects are remote but a possibility. These recalled products may contain small metal fragments. The products being recalled are:

  • Cheeseburger Macaroni Skillet Dinners
  • Sold in 5.8 oz packages
  • UPC code of 2114018080
  • Sell-by date of May 14, 2013
  • Distributed to Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana

Winn Dixie is a subsidiary of BI-LO, who released a similar recall last week. There have been no reports of any person affected by the metal pieces in either recall. Customers who have purchased the product are urged to immediately discard it or bring it in the place of purchase for a full refund.

Consumers who have questions can contact the Winn-Dixie Guest Service Center at 1.866.WINN-DIXIE (866.946.6349).
