Wellements LLC Recalls Baby Move Prune Concentrate: Possible Salmonella Contamination

Wellements LLC has issued a voluntary recall on their Baby Move Prune Concentrate liquid dietary supplement. The supplier of one of the ingredients on the Prune Concentrate has indicated that there is a possibility that the ingredient could become contaminated with salmonella, thus contaminating the whole product. Salmonella can be a serious health risk. It is a dangerous bacteria that can cause vomiting, fever, and diarrhea. The symptoms start to produce themselves between 1 and 4 days after digestion. Salmonella is particularly dangerous to young children. The product recalled is:

  • Wellements Baby Move™ Prune Concentrate 4oz (UPC 729609019878)
  • Sold in a glass bottle and packaged in an individual product carton.
  • All product lots up to and including 12179 are recalled
  • Products were distributed nationwide between January 2012 and July 2012

No Baby Move product has tested positive for Salmonella contamination at this date. Consumers with the recalled products can return them for a full refund.
