Fans of popular coffee chain Tim Hortons will be happy to learn that the 3,300 locations across Canada will be accepting Visa cards as a form of payment – starting today.
Effective immediately, the coffee giant will not only be adding the reputable credit card company to its list of payment options but it will also allow consumers to reload their Tim cards using either Visa credit cards or Visa debit cards online.
“Tim Hortons is pleased to align with Visa to offer our guests the convenience of using their Visa card to pay for purchases in our restaurants or on our website,” said Roland Walton, chief operations officer, Tim Hortons.
Jim Allhusen, Country Manager of Visa Canada also expressed his excitement over the news: “We’re excited to be bringing the convenience, speed and security of Visa payments to Tim Hortons restaurants across the country,” he said in a statement today.
Consumers who purchase their Tim’s goods via Visa will not only enjoy the convenience but will also be automatically entered into a draw to win a free cottage getaway. Individuals who use their Visa credit or debit cards between June 28th and August 15th, 2012 will be entered to wine the free getaway.
