Last week on The Next Food Network Star 2012 had Josh Lyons eliminated from Team Giada. The teams are all even at 4 members each this episode. Giada’s early lead is over so who will jump ahead this week?

The Challenge
The challenge for this week was to make dining a fashionable experience. They would work in teams to prepare dishes at the Pamela Rowland’s Fashion Show in New York. Each team had $250 and one hour to make their avant-garde meals.
Team Bobby had their ups and downs. Nikki did a fantastic job at both her presentation and meal. Eric had problems in the kitchen and that threw his game off. His presentation suffered greatly but his food was wonderful. Malcolm did a great job on both his food and presentation and looks like he could be a real contestant. Lastly, Michele had mixed reviews. Her presentation style was story telling but she never finished the ideas. However, her food was great.
Team Giada had their problems too. Linky forgot what she was talking about in her presentation and repeated herself a few times. Her food was fantastic however. Ippy kept his laid back Hawaiian style for his presentation, even though he had been warned in the past weeks about it. Yvan had been told to be more assertive, but he went overboard on his presentation. There was some hope though, with Martita. She did a great performance and had great food.
Team Alton rocked it this week. The only disappointment was with Judson, who disappointed both in presentation and flavors. Justin did a great job and was really impressive. Emily was great fun to watch and she had both great food and a great performance. Martie had some trouble as she left her cooking rings in the food, but her presentation was good.
The Challenge Results
For the second week in a row, Team Alton was on top. Justin Warner was named the winner for the team and received a $10,000 cash prize. The bottom two were Phillip “Ippy” Aiona from Team Giada, and Eric Lee from Team Bobby.
The Network Challenge
The final challenge this week was a 1 minute presentation on a dish. They each had to describe french toast with mascarpone cheese and fresh fruit. Neither Ippy or Eric did a good job and it was a hard decision on who would go home.
The Elimination Results
The person sent home was Eric Lee. Team Bobby is down to three contestants now.
