As a loyal Tassimo customer, I was happy to find that the recent Tassimo recall did not affect the brewer model that I purchased about a year ago. However, my T-Disc of choice is the Nabob Tassimo Espresso disc, which is one of the product SKUs that was recently recalled. The espresso discs have a thinner profile but are much more densely packed than the regular coffee discs, which may be part of the reason that the discs were causing the machines to malfunction and spray hot liquid and coffee grinds from the brewer lid.
As of the time of this post being written, the Nabob espresso T-Discs are still not available on the market. Along with the stand-alone Nabob espresso packages, the Nabob latte packs containing the espresso and milk discs have also been removed from sale. In fact, my local grocery store has recently filled the shelf-space previously dedicated to this SKU with a series of newer espresso-based T-Discs by Cafe Norte. When contacted via their customer support line, Tassimo was unable to comment on if or when the Nabob SKU would return to the marketplace.
