McDonalds may have built a reputation on serving up deliciously unhealthy meals for kids and adults of all ages but the world’s largest fast food chain is turning a new leaf – and they want everyone to know about it.

The popular restaurant company is now promoting healthy nutritional choices for children and are kicking off their marketing campaign with a Happy Meal makeover and the nation-wide launch of their new commercial.

Technically, the Happy Meal makeover happened a while ago. McDonalds has been offering healthy Happy Meal options like milk and fruit slices for quite some time but the word didn’t spread as fast as the company had hoped, so they’re turning to digital media to spread the news.

The new commercial features a boy named Ferris who has a pet goat. The goat eats everything in sight and ends up not feeling well but, after Ferris takes him to McDonalds – where he has healthier alternatives to choose from – everyone ends up happy and healthy.

The commercial will make its world debut on television this Friday but we have the exclusive video below.

Do you think the new commercial will help encourage children to make healthier choices when dining at McDonalds?
