Last episode of MasterChef had fan favorite Monti Carlo eliminated.

The challenge this week was catering a three course dinner for six judges. The guest judges were three top chefs, one of which has more Michelin Stars than Gordon Ramsay. Of course, when the judges came out their names flashed across the bottom, but a Fox popup totally blocked the bottom of the screen! I’ll have to let you know who they were tomorrow morning.

The chefs worked in pairs for this difficult challenge. Christine was the winner last week and so she chose the teams. She would be working with Becky, while Josh would work with Frank. This made sense from her culinary style- Becky cooks some great Korean food, and Christine is an all-around great Asian style cook.

Josh and Frank went with a gourmet home style dinner. Their first course was a spring vegetable terrine, the entree was grilled lamb, and the dessert was a white chocolate and strawberry mousse.

Christine and Becky made an Asian style dinner. Their first course was a ginger broth seafood soup, the entree was grilled duck, and the dessert was a tropical fruit verrine.

The judges thought that the best meal was cooked by Christine and Becky. It was a close call because the women’s entree was horrible. The boys just had a worse dessert.

The boys were sent to the pressure test and one of them would be eliminated. This pressure was the dreaded souffle. The kicker was that they had to make three different souffle’s and have them served at the same time. It was a heck of a challenge! Gordon Ramsay told Josh and Frank that it would be nearly impossible. The girls were very thankful they were safe.

Josh’s cheese souffle lost, his raspberry souffle won, and his chocolate souffle won.

Frank’s cheese souffle won, his raspberry souffle was lost, and his chocolate souffle lost.

It is Josh who won and he will join Christine and Becky in the final three. Frank barely lost and was eliminated.

Do you think Frank deserved to go home?
