FoodBeat: Last interview you said you had gotten a tattoo to commemorate your experiences on MasterChef. Any update there?
Christine Ha: It’s finished! I had it colored and finished before I came to New York for the finale showing. I wanted it done before we saw it on television. It’s healing right now and not so pretty, but maybe I’ll take a picture later.
FoodBeat: So you’re working on the cookbook. What sort of dishes will we get to see in it?
Christine Ha: Some of the dishes I made on the show will be in the MasterChef Ultimate Cookbook. The book features recipes you saw on television from the top 18 contestants. My own cookbook will have different recipes. It will be filled with my comfort food that I love. It will be recipes that the average home cook could make. I think we’re looking at it being released next spring.

Christine Ha: I just want to let everyone know that I’m so grateful for their support. It has been an amazing experience. I’ve been so overwhelmed with the support and love from my friends and family. I’m so proud of myself but also so humbled! I tried so hard to get there. I think it was a greater gift, a blessing.
