Tonight’s episode of Masterchef 2012 was definitely interesting, to say the least. After winning a challenge and gaining a huge advantage, it was an emotional roller coaster for David Martinez. His reward for winning the initial challenge was to choose the main ingredient that would be used in the dessert challenge. He chose corn. He also decided to make a rice pudding but forgot one important ingredient during his time in the pantry: the rice.

Luckily for David, Becky was nice enough to share some extra rice she picked up as a back-up. Chef Ramsay hinted that giving the David the rice was a huge mistake but luckily for Becky, it didn’t turn out that way. When David presented his rice pudding to the judges, they were disappointed and disgusted. At that point, it seemed inevitable that David was a good contender for elimination tonight.

As the other contestants presented their dishes to the judges, almost all of them received rave reviews. The only other competitors to receive negative feedback were Felix and Josh. As most of you know, Josh was initially eliminated from the show but was given a second chance last night after winning a series of competitions.

With three contestants all visible shaken from the negative comments on their dishes, it was hard to tell who would be eliminated.

At the end of the day, it was Felix who didn’t measure up.

Make sure to check back tomorrow morning for Danielle’s complete episode recap.

Do you think Felix deserved to be eliminated over Josh and David tonight?
