Popular Contestant David Martinez Talks MasterChef 2012 Episode 14:
Alright new day, I know what’s going to happen, I’m going to walk in, cook my heart out and still get ripped apart. I’m cool with that, I’ve figured out my place in the pecking order and I’m just waiting for the time when I get it together or get booted. So here we go.
What’s this? I don’t have to cook you say? I want to cook, I want another chance to get eliminated or prove myself, I need this. We head upstairs and await our big surprise.
At this point what’s running through my head is the judges telling us someone from Season two will come back and prove they deserved top two, hell maybe even a win. Maybe if we are lucky someone from the top 100 makes it back in and we can just get rid of them quickly and move on with life. I was close, but wrong. Someone from the top 18 will come back. What’s even better is we get to choose who wins at the end. Sweet lets pick the weakest link, get them off quickly and move on.
The competition will build a mystery box, this sounds great. I bet they pick awesome items. I’m wrong again; this happens a lot by the way. They are picking items that are really random. Its seams like each competitor is picking an item based on something they think they can make with just salt and vinegar. The mystery box is put together and in with the items we have pork, sweet condensed milk, and celery. Wow what challenge. They get to cooking and quickly finish. Dishes come by left and right. Ultimately I felt Stacey and Mike had this in the bag. The judges felt Josh and Ryan so they will be cooking for that apron.
Josh and Ryan are going to cook tarts, fruit tarts. So hard, one thing goes wrong and its over. I am glad I’m upstairs at this point. So bottom line, we taste the tarts and one tart is so much better. The taste, texture just everything. Who is it? This is a blind taste test. Bang Josh. Bottom line, this competition is just getting hot, and this is the one guy we are all afraid of. He is an awesome cook and super competitive, this will not get easier.
