Last episode of Hell’s Kitchen 2012 had Barbie Marshall eliminated. This episode started off with the second elimination continued from last week.
The Elimination
Gordon Ramsay cut the chefs down to the final two. Justin Antiorio and Christina Wilson went through, and Dana Cohen was eliminated. Gordon Ramsay told her that she was incredibly talented and has a bright future ahead of her. Watch out for our interview with Dana today to read her reaction to this elimination.
The Reward Challenge
The reward challenge this week had the two chefs making their own menus. Gordon’s sous chefs were in Las Vegas, so the chefs had to fly there. On the way, they were given white chefs jackets, marking their success in the competition. Justin and Christina spent the day at the pool working their menus in luxury. At lunch they were brought to their families and spent the rest of the day with them.
That night the chefs and their families went to a Penn and Teller magic show. Gordon Ramsay popped out and told the chefs that they were the show! Christina and Justin had to cook on camera for t he audience. They had to make a 5 course meal that could be served at Steak Restaurant.
For the salad course, Justin did a tomato salad, while Christina did an asparagus salad. Justin won this round.
For the seafood appetizer, Justin did a Ecuadorian ceviche, while Christina did a seafood coconut ceviche. Justin won this round too.
For the halibut entree, Justin did a pan seared fish which was overcooked,while Christina did a poached fish dish. Christina won this round.
For the ribeye entree, Justin did a steakhouse style with onion rings, while Christine did a port wine ribeye. Christine won this round also.
For the fillet entree, Justin did a beautiful plating job, while Christina had a delicious cheese dish.
It was Christina who won by an inch and she got the reward.
Dinner Service
Christina’s reward was first pick of her kitchen chefs. Previous contestants were brought back and she chose Dana, Patrick, Kimmie, and Robyn. Justin chose Barbie, Brian, Royce, and Clemenza.
The episode ended with Clemenza storming out of the room because he felt betrayed that Justin did not pick him until last. We’re not sure if he will cook on the finale episode, and Justin may suffer because of this.
