Reward Challenge
The reward challenge this week started off with Gordon Ramsay demonstrating how to make his version of Chicken Parmesan. The chefs thought it was all very strange since normally they are the ones cooking. There was a big surprise as Gordon told them they wouldn’t be cooking at all. They had to teach someone how to replicate the dish exactly. The big catch was their students would be past Teen USA winners! The gorgeous young women walked in with six in high heels and tiny mini dresses. The goal of the challenge was for the chefs to show Ramsay their communication and leadership skills.
Barbie and her girl started off very slow but they spent their time getting the recipe exact. They finished just at the final seconds. Christine didn’t have enough marinara sauce. Justin had the chicken too thick. Dana had too much mozzarella. Clemenza had a chunky sauce. Barbie had it perfect.
The Reward
The winner was Barbie and her reward was an Italian themed day with fine dining and canal tour. She was able to pick one person to join her and she chose Justin. It was a safe bet since she doesn’t get along with the other girls. The losing chefs had to prep for dinner service the next night. It would be an Italian themed menu and they spent most of the day making pasta.
When the winners got back to their apartment, Justin decided to make dinner for the losers. He made pasta, to the anger of the other chefs. They were sick of pasta by then.
Dinner Service
We’ve seen some amazing dinner services the past few episodes but tonight was a major disappointment. Clemenza had his chance to shine by leading the kitchen. He is an amazing Italian chef so there was no excuse for him this week.
Barbie was failing at risotto and had to remake it a number of times. Clemenza started burning the food at the garnish station. Justin had to take over and finally the food got to the customers.
Elimination
Gordon asked the group to choose one person for elimination but they thought both Barbie and Clemenza should face him. It was Clemenza’s 7th time nominated and he was sent packing.
There are only four chefs left. Who do you think will win?
