After a month of the Olympics, Hell’s Kitchen is back on television! Be sure to check back for weekly recaps on this exciting show. We’re getting down to the finale and there are only five chefs left after this elimination.
The Reward Challenge
All of the chefs are on one team after last episode’s Brian Merel elimination. This challenge had the six chefs paired in teams of two. The teams were Barbie and Justin, Clemenza and Dana, and Robyn with Christine. The task was to replicate a dish cooked by Gordon Ramsay. We know Justin has an amazing palate, being the only competitor in the 10 seasons to get the taste test challenge completely correct. We also know that Celemenza is a very talented man, with some of his own dishes being served at dinner service.
The major choices in the dish were the meat, the wrapping, the side dish, and the sauce. The meat was veal which all teams guessed correctly. The wrapping was prosciutto which Clem/Dana guessed right. The side dish was seasoned with smoked bacon, which Barbie/Justin and Robyn/Christine guessed right. The deciding factor was the sauce, which all the teams knew was fortified with some sort of alcohol. Barbie/Justin and Robyn/Christine guessed it was port, while Clem/Dana guessed madeira. The ingredient was… madeira! Clemenza and Dana won reward.
The Reward
The reward for this episode was for Clemenza and Dana to take a trip on the water with jet skis. They also had a private lunch on a secluded beach. Dana revealed that under her baggy chefs uniform she has an amazing body. Clemenza had some real eye candy with his meal. Sorry readers, I couldn’t find a picture to go with this mental image.
Dinner Service
The elimination challenge this week was a competition. Gordon Ramsay brought back six runner up’s from previous Hell’s Kitchen seasons. The chefs were Russell from season 8, Jay (blue hair) from season 7, Kevin from season 6, Paula from season 5, Bonnie from season 3, and Virginia from season 2.
The redemption team faced our chefs in a dinner service battle. The new team did an amazing job and finished with a near perfect service. Our regular chefs would be up for elimination.
Elimination
The team chose Robyn and Clemenza to be up for elimination. Robyn told Gordon that she should be replaced with Dana, but Gordon disagreed. Robyn was eliminated this episode.
Do you think she should have gone home?
