The Restaurant Challenge

This episode started off as a continuation of Monday’s. We were left with Clemenza being yelled at for starting to cook scallops even before the kitchen was opened. They had to be thrown out because there was no way they would still be good when the customers ordered.

The restaurant had been turned into a catwalk and between each service, models would strut across the stage. The Red team kept their professionalism in the kitchen. There was only a little drama, with Robyn Almodovar trying to take over Christina Wilson’s station. Christina is one hard, independent chef and refused any assistance.

The Blue team had a much more difficult time with service. The kitchen directly faced the runway and the boys got an eyeful of the models. There was a really funny scene with Guy blankly staring out at the girls. Gordon Ramsay was yelling at him to pay attention, but Guy just kept his focus on the models.

The Blue team had to ask the fashion directors for extra time to get their appetizers out. Royce was sent backstage to let them know, and he walked into a room of half naked models. He just stopped at stared, totally forgetting why he was there. Eventually he got the words out and ran back to the kitchen.

During the entree around the models walked in bathing suits. Guy was watching the women again and his pan caught fire. Strike two for Guy.

Robyn was on the beef section on the Red team. While originally she was afraid that her meat would be raw, she ended up over cooking the last of it. The Red team did not have enough meat to complete service and they seriously considered stealing some from the Blue team. They chickened out and confessed to Gordon- who would have had a stroke if they actually stole and lied to him.

Clemenza was caught with his pants down after service. He had cooked 18 extra swordfish steaks and they had to be thrown out.

The Elimination

Both teams finished service, but the Red team did a much better job. The Blue team was on the bottom and had to nominate two people to be sent home. Guy and Clemenza were chosen, and Guy was sent packing.

What do you think of this weeks elimination? Did Guy deserve to go home?
