The Results

Last episode had us left with Patrick, Guy, and Danielle up on the chopping block. Gordon Ramsay told Patrick to get back in line. Danielle was eliminated and left bitterly. Her mistake with the pork was little compared to some of the repeated mistakes from the Red team. Dana was crushed as they were best friends on the show.

The First Challenge

The first challenge had Gordon Ramsay bringing out gorgeous models dressed in vintage clothing. The theme of this episode was the history of food. Some of the ingredients the models brought out were fondu, television dinners, and Asian fusion. This introduced the judges: three top fashion designers. They were David Meister, Amanda Ché, and Ina Soltani. The teams had to cook a high fashion tasting menu, catering to the tastes of the judges. David made sure to let the teams know he loves swordfish, and Amanda told them she loved spicy Mediterranean flavors.

Robyn went against the judges preferences and cooked bland sea bass. Kimmy was paired with her and disagreed with her choices. Tiffany made fried eggplant, and the judges refused to even try it. Fatty food was not a good choice for these guests. Patrick was funny and thought describing “mucus” was a good way of making his dish sound good. For the appetizer round, the Red team won the point. For the poultry round, the Blue team won the point. For the fish round, the Blue team won and received reward.

Their treat was to go on a shopping spree and have a wine tasting. Brian has been sober for 5 years now and have not touched a drink. Unfortunately, the editing made it look like he had multiple glasses of wine when in realty he had none. Find him on twitter at @chefbrianmerel and give him your support!

The Elimination Challenge

The show ended before we got to see the restaurant service. The Red team set up a huge runway as their punishment for losing. Next week we get to see the boys mess about the kitchen, distracted by the beautiful women. How do you think they’re going to fare?
