Last episode on Hell’s Kitchen 2012 had Don Savage sent home for loosing passion. Gordon Ramsay also switched things up by moving Roshni Gurnani from the girls team to the boys side.

The First Challenge
Gordon Ramsay announced that this entire episode would be themed with Mexican cuisine. It would be the first time Mexican food would be served in Hell’s Kitchen. The first challenge had the teams cooking against each other. They had to pick up bouncy balls labeled with with ingredients and had to use them in their dishes. The teams were only allowed to present five dishes, and the results were as follows:
Royce vs Kimmy for tacos- The Red team won the point.
Danielle vs Clemenza for burrito- The Blue team won the point.
Tiffany vs Justin for soup- The Red team won the point
Christina vs Patrick for Enchiladas- The Blue team won the point
Dana vs Roshni for tostadas- The judges liked both.
Gordon was the final decision and chose the Red team as the winner. He said that Dana had the best overall dish of the day. The girls reward was inspired by the Mexican culture. After a gourmet lunch, they had salsa dancing lessons. The Blue team had a day of “Mexican misery”, by prepping all the dinner ingredients by hand. Their gross eating challenge was finishing a plate of tripe and jalapeno peppers. Tripe is the stomach lining of cows and had a unique, funky digestive juice smell.
The Restaurant Challenge
The dinner service challenge had the teams preparing Mexican food for a full house. Patrick and Guy were kicked out of the kitchen early for continuously messing up the steak. Eventually everyone on the Blue team was kicked out except Brian and Roshni. They miraculously managed to finish dinner service just the two of them. The Red team had problems too, especially with the pork. Danielle served raw pork twice but thankfully it was caught before it was served.
The Results
Both teams were on the bottom even though they both finished service. The Red team nominated Barbie and Danielle. Gordon Ramsay told Barbie that she didn’t deserve to be there and sent her back in line. She was only really nominated because Kimmy disliked her. The Blue team nominated Patrick and Guy.
