The Dog Food Recall list for April and May 2012 keeps growing every day as more and more companies are taking potentially contaminated dry dog food products off the shelves.

Solid Gold Health Products for Pets Inc is the latest company to announce a recall after more than 14 people in 9 nine states have reported illnesses in the past few weeks. The dry food products run the risk of salmonella contamination which can be passed along to pets and pet owners if proper care (ie. washing your hands after touching the food) is not taken.

Solid Gold Health Products for Pets is voluntarily recalling several products that were distributed in the United States and Canada because they were manufactured in the same facility that has been linked to the Diamond Pet Foods recalls.

The products affected are the following:

Solid Gold WolfCub Large Breed Puppy Food, 4 lb, 15 lb, and 33 lb, with a best before date of December 30, 2012 and batch code starting with SGB1201A31X.
