Clif Bars Recall 2012 Coconut Chocolate Chip Mislabeled Packaging

Clif Bar & Company is recalling a small number of Coconut Chocolate Chip CLIF Bars from Target and Walmart stores. The product was mislabeled with the wrong packaging for White Chocolate Macadamia Nut CLIF Bars. This mislabeled packaging does not list coconut in the ingredients and may seriously harm a person allergic to coconut. The wrong packaging was only placed on a very small lot of product. The recalled products are:

  • 6-pack Coconut Chocolate Chip CLIF Bars
  • UPCL 7-22252-66030-5
  • Best before 16May13G1
  • 6-pack White Chocolate Macadamia CLIF Bars
  • Found inside the above coconut packaging

No other CLIF Bars are affected. Consumers who are allergic to coconut are urged not to consume this mislabeled product. The only mislabeled products are found within the Coconut Chocolate Chip 6-pack boxes.
